The Lowry Theatre Wedding-Manchester
Originally, Chris and Carli had Manchester Town Hall booked for their ceremony but after realising it fell on the same date as the 100 year centenary remembrance celebrations for WW1, which were to take place at the town hall, they both decided it was best to change venues and so they tied the knot at the amazing Lowry Theatre in Salford Quay’s. I had wanted to shoot a wedding here for quite some time so I was particularly excited to start the day. After a short hop from the hotel following the morning preparations, Carli arrived in a vintage sky-blue VW van, kitted out beautifully with a hamper and champagne. The rest of the day unfolded with a very elegant civil ceremony and thankfully, although the sky looked pretty menacing at times, we were blessed with dry sunny weather which gave me plenty of opportunity to capture some epic portrait shots of them both on the expansion bridge and around the theatre. I can honestly say the day could not have gone any better and I even managed to finish off with a classic sunset shot on the roof top of the Lowry theatre.
